  • Associate Veterinarian

    Job Type: Full Time or Part Time

    Salary: $110,000.00 - $160,000.00 Annually (Full Time)

  • Veterinary Technician

    Job Type: Full-time

    Salary: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour

    We are seeking a Veterinary Technician with 3+ years of experience. The ideal candidate will possess very strong technical skills, have a friendly demeanor, a willingness to help educate the client, a desire to learn, and a commitment to precision in all aspects of their work. It is necessary that applicants be able to stand for long periods of time and be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds. Furthermore, it is imperative that the candidate have experience in a surgical setting and be highly skilled in the area of veterinary dentistry. You will be expected to check in patients, take accurate patient histories, perform treatments, calculate dosages, fill prescriptions, educate clients, collect lab specimens, use our practice management software efficiently, and assist veterinarians during both exams and surgical procedures. Being a small hospital, every employee is expected to help in any and every way that may be needed at a particular time.

    The position offered is for a full-time position. We offer very competitive wage and benefit packages.   • Veterinary Receptionist

    Job Type: Full-time

    Salary: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour

    Hiring for a very busy small animal practice with 3 veterinarians.

    Position is a 35-40 hour work week. During your shifts we ask that you are presentable, and arrive in a timely manner (15 minutes early) with a great attitude for positive work flow.

    Upon hire you must be able to understand a medical record.

    Must be physically capable of standing for multiple hours a day and should be able to help lift heavy patients.

    Standard reception skills include, but are not limited to proper phone etiquette, client communication, communicating with veterinarians and technicians, administrative tasks, multi-phone answering, scheduling appointments, and checking people in/out. These require computer, email, and phone skills.

    Buckwalter Veterinary Clinic thrives on teamwork, which means receptionists may also be asked to help with minor assisting skills. Prepare fecal samples to be sent to the lab, hold animals for technicians/assistants when in need and, must be willing to learn about preventative products and inform clients what they prevent. We take pride in our clean office space and must be willing to do basic cleaning.

    Must include an up-to-date resume and cover letter, with references. Applicants must be willing to submit to a background check and drug test.
