Michelle Dickler grew up in Stone Mountain, GA and received her undergraduate degree in animal science from the University of Georgia in 1993. She then received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Georgia in 1997.
Upon graduation, she was an associate veterinarian in Suwanee, GA for two years before purchasing a small animal clinic in Snellville, GA with her husband. They owned the practice for 14 years before selling in preparation to eventually move to Hilton Head Island where they currently live.
Dr. Dickler spent 5 years as a relief veterinarian in the Metro Atlanta area before she moved and began practicing at Buckwalter Veterinary Clinic in September 2018 as an associate veterinarian. Dr. Dickler enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine but has a special interest in internal medicine.
Michelle and her husband, Lyle, have one son, Matthew that attends Coastal Carolina University in Conway, SC. They attend all the CCU home football games in order to watch Matthew in the marching band. Michelle also loves to spend time boating, swimming, bike riding, spinning and reading. Michelle and Lyle share their home with 3 rescue dogs: General Zod, Faora and Eve Teschmacher and their rescue cat, Jake.
